The first season of the most mysterious show in Bulgaria has ended with a grand finale on December 7. The three remaining finalists competed with two songs each to win the format and their identities are revealed.
The vote of the viewers chose the winner of Season 1 to be The Raven, which revealed to be the popular pop singer - Mihaela Marinova. She is best known for winning the fifth season of the local version of 'Your Face Sounds Familiar' and also has participated in the local "X Factor". The second place was for The Rose, which revealed to be the singer and songwriter Zhana Bergendorff, known for winning the "X Factor" in 2013. Third place was for The Bee, which revealed to be another Bulgarian pop singer and winner of the third season of "Music idol" - Magi Djanavarova.
The final episode scored 31.6% share of the audience in adults (18-49), compared to 25.1% share for the second most-watched television in Bulgaria. During the most intense moments, more than 1.3 million viewers from the general television audience were expecting the unmasking of the last celebrities in the show. The reported data is from the international research agency Nielsen Admosphere Bulgaria.
Moreover, on the online platforms of Nova Broadcasting Group, the show has nearly 2 million video views.
"The Masked Singer" definitely wins the title of the most interesting and mysterious show on air this fall. Each one of its thirteen episodes was filled with many talented performances, laughter, undisclosed clues and secrets that the avid fans of the show thoroughly revealed. The format has also been able to convey the emotion on social networks, where viewers have tried every day to unravel the mysteries surrounding their favourite masks.
