The team of “Lords of the Air” received three honors for investigative journalism in 2018 from Radostina Konstantinova Foundation, during the ceremony on 14th of May in Grand Hotel Sofia.
The reporter, Viktoria Simeonova received the student award and got scholarship and certificate. The reporter Marieta Dimitrova also received an award in relation to the case with buildings renovation gaps in the National Energy Efficiency Program.
The grand prize for investigative journalism from the foundation fairly got the head executive of the reporters’ team in “Lords of the Air” – Krasimir Lukanov and the reporter Bobi Vaklinov for the case disclosure of a blackmailing scheme by NRA employees.
“We are grateful for the awards! For us they are acknowledgment and further motivation to keep on fighting the injustices. We will do everything to make institutions do their job!” – commented the producer of “Lords of the Air” – Judy Halvadjian.
